I think that we could do something pretty cool! I think it would be awesome to review software and let people know about all the good and bad things about free ware and open source.

Re: Today’s free files

I am in for reviewing the freeware and open source.
For a while there i've been thinking about that.(reviewing i mean).
To be more exact,i have tested almost all from my freeware page+today's files page+others that i just installed and didn't put them up.
So testing and reviewing..i am in.
Give me an example link of a wiki that you have seen so i get an idea.

Re: Today’s free files

I tried, but there is just so much inconsistency. All of the programs say that they are graphical, then you install them and it is a tiny fraction of what you expected..

Which has me thinking.. I have been thinking about starting a wiki for a while now. I have a lot of readers who get into freeware and open source. What do you think about starting a free ware wiki? There are several on the internet now, but none of them are very simple to navigate and most of them just have a listing of the software and there links. We could write reviews and experiences.

Its just an idea. I am writing a book and I though of putting a wiki up for that too..

Let me know what you think!

Re: Today’s free files

Well,it looks great indeed and i might try it too.
I am not good either with the cmd unless are the simple windows commands.
Have you tried googling the server application with graphics?

Re: Today’s free files

That eye OS program looks great! I think I am going to try it out on one of my computers! If you ever see anything about good web server applications, that are graphical and support virtual hosting, let me know. I am not very good with a command line, but really need to start running a bigger server out of my office!
