Hi Carol,
I am still getting all the material up - it is over 20 gigs, but as of today, we are only missing the last course - Yoruba. The rest should work. For Yoruba I am changing the audio file names from their current form (which looks like a1b3dd.mp3) to titles that actually make sense. That will hopefully make it easier for people to us. I should have it done and uploaded by the end of the day today (April 13th). If, after today you find any broken links, please let me know.

Hi Carol,

It's working now! :-) The reason: I had the "Use Google Libraries" plugin enabled (http://wordpress.org/extend/pl... this appearantly caused the "normal" jquery not be loaded.

Disabling this plugin and adding the above code just before the /body tag did the trick. Thanks :-)

Thanks for the info. But the defer parsing does nothing. I copied it, changed the URL to my host and put it just before the /body closing tag in my footer.php. Google pagespeed gives to the exact amount of KB's the javascript is not parsed. (No caching plugin enabled)

Carol, do you still come here? I hope you do. I stumbled upon a thread about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and I enjoyed so much your clarity of expression and logic in your argumemts. You are right, Cecil. I added the warning about that. I tested it so far
on 6 laptops and 2 towers and it doesn't interfere with anything but
the junk and useless services.
I can classify this as safe to use for rookies if they just let the app do the job for them.

I tried it, as I find we share computer biases. It does speed up startup, which was what I needed. The program uses brute force to do so and a careful user might want to check if some essential little tool one likes always on gets kicked off the list. It's very easy to adjust back and it does scrub a lot of nonsense out.

Do warn folks that if you're not careful when you install, you end up with a new start page, toolbar and their office suite, which seems fine but it was not what I wanted at the moment.
