my favourite extensions are adsense notifier, tab mix plus, calourful tabs, download statusbar, fasterfox and flashgot.

I am not sure about that,but you can try forcing it with Nightly Tester Tools.
I am still on Firefox 1.5 on my pc,but on my laptops 2.0 and i don't use the tool there).

Good list. I'd like to add a couple I found extremely helpful:

Linkification. Converts text links to working links that can be clicked on.

IE Tab. This embeds IE into Firefox tabs, which allow you to view a page in IE within the Firefox browser.
